Rebecca has extensive experience of teaching children with special needs, particularly with an autistic spectrum diagnosis (ASD) and Asperger’s Syndrome, and has personal and first hand knowledge of the abilities, as well as difficulties of a child with autism.  Young people and adults with autism are particularly welcome and are made to feel comfortable and secure in each lesson, feeling important and appreciated.  There is no prescribed way as to how this is achieved – individual needs are considered, in keeping with autism being a spectrum disorder.

Rebecca considers it a privilege to have taught some of her ASD students for several years and derives great satisfaction from seeing them progress.  From the feedback received, she believes strongly they enjoy attending their lessons.

Rebecca is CRB checked to work with children and vulnerable adults.
